About The Position

The Estimator position at Oldcastle Infrastructure is responsible for managing the estimating of various projects and assisting the sales team with customer account management. The role involves collaborating with engineering, vendors, and production staff to ensure accurate cost assessments and adherence to project specifications. The Estimator will also serve as a primary contact for customers and vendors, ensuring that products meet required designs and specifications.

Requirements

• Estimating/Project Management experience preferred, ideally in construction or precast concrete industry.
• Ability to manage multiple complex bids/projects simultaneously.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Associates Degree in Civil Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and implement management systems.
• Ability to understand engineered drawings and blueprints.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the construction or precast concrete industry.

Responsibilities

• Estimate multiple projects concurrently and provide proposals to the sales staff before bid deadlines.
• Contact vendors for pricing on required items and review vendor quotes for compliance with designs/specifications.
• Review sales proposals with the sales staff to ensure accurate estimating and project requirements.
• Conduct Turnover/Kick Off meetings with the Sales Team to clarify project scope and confirm estimate values.
• Assist with Change Order Proposals in a timely manner as needed.
• Monitor project progress and status, proactively problem-solving and providing technical advice to expedite projects.
• Assist with inside sales, production reporting, and invoicing as required.
