About the position

The ETL Developer at Zions Bancorporation is responsible for evaluating technical options for data needs, performing software coding, and managing the code base and environment usage for various data sets. This role involves collaborating with data analysts and business teams, conducting unit tests, and supporting Scrum teams in achieving project objectives. The position allows for telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate technical options for data needs by analyzing requirements using various software.
• Update technical design documents and create a task plan for implementation.
• Perform software coding per mapping documentation using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
• Analyze environment and data designs to assess impact to requested changes.
• Manage code base and environment usage for development, staging, testing, and applying transformation logic.
• Create and load tables in hosted mart to support team analysis, reporting, and validation of migrated data.
• Coordinate and interact with data analysts, subject matter experts, and business analyst teams for mapping reviews and updates.
• Perform unit tests on code and support other testing environments.
• Work with Scrum teams to support objectives and planning.
• Create and maintain schedules for job execution using Control-M and other scheduling packages.
• Promote dsx/.isx code from development to testing, staging, and into production using DataStage.
• Attend, contribute, and assume ownership in triage sessions with internal and cross-product teams.
• Work with QA team to validate files used in data drops.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent plus 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree followed by 5 years of progressive related experience in lieu of MS+2.
