About the position

The ETL Developer role involves utilizing Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data from various heterogeneous source systems into a target database. The position requires the development of mappings, sessions, and workflows to facilitate efficient data loading into a star schema, along with performance tuning and troubleshooting of ETL processes.

Responsibilities

• Use Informatica PowerCenter for ETL extraction, transformation, and loading of data.
• Create mappings using Designer and extract data from various sources.
• Transform data according to requirements and load it into the data warehouse.
• Migrate mappings, sessions, and workflows from development to test and production environments.
• Develop reusable transformations and mapplets for efficient data processing.
• Prepare Technical Design documents and test cases.
• Conduct unit testing and resolve bottlenecks in ETL processes.
• Implement performance tuning techniques at both functional and map levels.
• Communicate with business customers to discuss issues and requirements.
• Create shell scripts to optimize ETL workflows.
• Conduct production support to troubleshoot ongoing issues.
• Review and analyze functional requirements and mapping documents.

Requirements

• Master's in Computer Information Systems or related field.
• 2 years of experience in similar duties using Informatica PowerCenter 10.4, SQL Developer, Oracle 19c, and other specified technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL, UNIX shell scripting, Python, and data warehousing concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with OBIEE, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Netezza, and Hadoop.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Rally and Jira.
• Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Control M and Autosys.
