About the position

The ETL Developer position at Insight Global is designed for candidates with 3-4 years of professional experience in ETL and SQL development, who are looking to transition into a management role. Initially, the role will focus 90% on ETL development and 10% on stakeholder interaction, with a future progression to a managerial position where responsibilities will shift to 40% ETL development and 60% management. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, effective communication abilities, and a problem-solving mindset to lead a team of 5-10 developers in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support ETL data pipelines solutions primarily in AWS environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain scaled ETL processes to deliver meaningful insights from large and complicated data sets.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to discover and leverage new data being introduced into the environment.
• Support existing ETL processes written in SQL, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration of data pipelines.
• Create and maintain report specifications and process documentation as part of the required data deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data, system, and performance issues.
• Communicate with business partners, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, articulate data deliverables, and provide technical designs.
• Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to get a complete picture of the customer experience.
• Work closely with the development team to prioritize features, refine requirements, and ensure end-to-end delivery.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets from various sources, including product usage analytics.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate functionality and quality.
• Oversee data architecture and ensure scalability and performance.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years ETL/SQL development experience
• Bash scripting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Desire to move into leadership/management
• Experience with Spark
• Familiarity with AWS
• Proficiency in Python
• Knowledge of Hive/HQL/HiveQL
