About the position

The ETL Developer position at HealthEdge Software Inc involves designing, implementing, and supporting ETL processes for large healthcare data sets. The role requires strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, C#, and Shell, along with expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure high performance and reliability of the product, while also engaging in continuous improvement and troubleshooting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support ETL processes for large healthcare data sets.
  • Develop new features and enhancements to match product releases.
  • Recommend and design best practices for performant data loads.
  • Deploy, orchestrate, and monitor jobs.
  • Create process, architecture, and deployment documents.
  • Interact with customers to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Perform production support activities, analyze issues, and provide effective solutions.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and scrum activities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide high-quality work and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide occasional support during weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years hands-on coding/scripting experience in Python, C#, Shell.
  • 3+ years' experience working with SQL, query optimizations, writing stored procedures and functions.
  • Prior exposure to Airflow.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data and EDI files like 834, 278, 837, 999.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Comfortable with version control systems like Bitbucket/Git.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with ticketing tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives at once and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • ETL development experience using Talend Studio.
  • Familiarity with claim systems like Facets, QNXT, and Health Rules Payor.
  • Knowledge of Azure pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as Azure Service Bus/Kafka.
