About the position

We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer with a strong background in scripting languages and database expertise to join our dynamic team. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting ETL processes for large healthcare data sets, ensuring high performance and reliability of our product. The ideal candidate will engage with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams to enhance our integrated solution suite, GuidingCare, which empowers healthcare providers and payers to improve care management and member engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support ETL processes for large healthcare data sets.
  • Develop new features and enhancements to match product releases.
  • Recommend and design best practices for performant data loads.
  • Deploy, orchestrate, and monitor jobs.
  • Create process, architecture, and deployment documents.
  • Interact with customers to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Perform production support activities, analyze issues, and provide effective solutions.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and scrum activities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide high-quality work and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide occasional support during weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years hands-on coding/scripting experience in Python, C#, Shell.
  • 3+ years' experience working with SQL, query optimizations, writing stored procedures and functions.
  • Prior exposure to Airflow.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data and EDI files like 834, 278, 837, 999.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Comfortable with version control systems like Bitbucket/Git.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with ticketing tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives at once and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Self-starting, energetic, result-oriented individual.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • ETL development experience using Talend Studio.
  • Familiarity with claim systems like Facets, QNXT, and Health Rules Payor.
  • Knowledge of Azure pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as Azure Service Bus/Kafka.
