About The Position

The Evaluation Analyst 2 position at Public Consulting Group (PCG) involves providing guidance and oversight in research projects aimed at improving public sector services. The role focuses on implementing methodologies, conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection, and preparing reports to support state and municipal human services agencies in their operations. The analyst will work closely with junior staff, lead client meetings, and facilitate discussions with stakeholders to ensure quality and timely project completion.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree preferred in relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Mixed Methods evaluations (qualitative/quantitative evaluation skills).
  • 2+ years of experience in conducting research or program evaluations of social services agencies.
  • Ability to lead work streams.
  • Understanding of research design.
  • Ability to develop data collection tools and requirements for data collection systems.
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection and interpret results.
  • Report preparation and research literature reviews.
  • Understanding of state and federal requirements.
  • Able to clearly document findings with relevant supporting details.
  • Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance, oversight, and development assistance to more junior staff.
  • Facilitates the implementation of research projects and monitors for quality and timely completion.
  • Assumes a team assistant or co-lead role, monitoring day-to-day operations of projects.
  • Implements methodologies, research questions, evaluations and analysis plans.
  • Prepares data collection tools, including surveys, qualitative interview and focus group protocols.
  • Conducts qualitative and quantitative data collection, including stakeholder interviews and administering surveys.
  • Trains staff on best practices in data collection, data security and storage.
  • Assists in the design, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance procedures for all analyses.
  • Design performance and outcome analyses for data collected and interpret results.
  • Compiles results and prepares reports, presentations and other documentation of outcomes.
  • Leads client meetings and develops communication plans.
  • Facilitates discussions with client stakeholders, including interpretation of findings and disseminating results.
  • Conducts background research on projects and research topics.
  • Assists with developing business opportunities such as preparing conference presentations.
