About the position

We’re looking for an Event Marketing Manager to help plan, execute, and optimize our growing portfolio of events and experiences that drive awareness of Adaptive, educate customers and prospects on our expanding product offerings, generate high-quality leads and pipeline for Sales, and foster community within the cybersecurity space. You’ll build and own a diverse portfolio—from cybersecurity summits and trade shows to executive dinners and webinars—and manage end-to-end event strategy, operations, and performance. Reporting to the Director of Event Marketing, you’ll deliver outstanding experiences that drive brand recognition, pipeline growth, and customer retention.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning and execution of industry conferences, third-party sponsorships, field marketing activations, and customer roundtables.
  • Own end-to-end event logistics—from vendor relationships and contract negotiations to venue sourcing, shipping, staffing, giveaways, and post-event follow-up.
  • Align cross-functional teams on event goals, messaging, and audience strategy; ensure seamless collaboration and remove blockers along the way.
  • Develop and execute pre- and post-event marketing strategies to boost attendance, engagement, and lead nurture outcomes.
  • Track event performance using Salesforce and related tools; manage attendee data, lead flow, and ROI reporting.
  • Evaluate event success and deliver actionable insights to continuously improve future programs.
  • Represent Adaptive on the ground at in-person events, ensuring a high-quality brand experience.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in event or field marketing, ideally within cybersecurity or B2B SaaS.
  • Proven success managing complex in-person, hybrid, and virtual events—from initial planning to flawless execution.
  • Strong project management skills, highly organized, strategic thinker, and able to juggle multiple priorities at once.
  • Brings an eye for detail; thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and knows how to deliver results.
  • Exceptional communicator with a knack for crafting compelling, persuasive messaging and promotional content.
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Creative mindset that fuels innovative, engaging event experiences.
  • Data-driven approach to setting goals, tracking KPIs, and scaling programs based on measurable outcomes.
  • Willing to travel, including some weekends and holidays.
  • Based on the West Coast (or open to relocation if that’s the intent).

Benefits

  • Equity in a high-upside, venture-backed business led by seasoned founders.
  • Premium healthcare, vision, and dental coverage.
  • A culture that values speed, precision, and high ownership.
  • A collaborative environment with an in-office team across New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
