About The Position

The Event Production Coordinator at Evangel University is responsible for managing and coordinating event production needs across various campus venues. This role involves scheduling, audiovisual setup, and providing technical support for events, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. The coordinator will also lead student teams, assist in training, and maintain audio-visual equipment, making them a key player in the university's event management process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Audio Visual experience considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
  • Two years of related experience in Audio Visual Event Production.
  • Proven ability in operating audio-visual equipment, including sound systems and graphics projection systems.
  • Experience and aptitude for mixing music.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and work as a team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various software platforms (Adobe, Logic, Pro Tools, Propresenter, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative with good attendance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an event multimedia production environment or equivalent.
  • Reasonable electronics skills for minor equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule event production needs in Spence Chapel, Seymour Chapel, and other campus venues.
  • Clarify audiovisual needs and schedule setups, tear-downs, and technician support.
  • Lead student teams in recruiting, scheduling, and executing assigned tasks.
  • Process Event Production requests in event management systems (EMS, Planning Center, Outlook).
  • Train student workers on audio-visual equipment and event spaces.
  • Set up and operate audio-visual equipment for campus events, including live streaming and recording.
  • Maintain proficiency in setting up microphones, sound and video systems, projectors, and recording equipment.
  • Assist with routine maintenance of AV equipment.
  • Run sound, lights, video, and graphics for events and rehearsals as scheduled.
  • Provide EP support for night and weekend rehearsals and events.
  • Diagnose and correct media system problems.
  • Produce the university's Livestream channels (Vimeo).
  • Participate in planning committees and perform other duties as required.
