The Event Technology Marketing Manager at Avnet is responsible for the comprehensive planning and execution of event logistics for a variety of internal, customer, and partner-facing events. These events include conferences, trade shows, corporate functions, leadership meetings, and community events, all of which are significant in scope and impact. The manager will oversee events from the initial pre-event planning stages through to the evaluation of post-event results, ensuring that each event meets its goals and objectives effectively. A key aspect of this role involves utilizing Cvent event management software to design, build, and customize event management sites, including registration and sponsorship sites. The manager will also develop surveys, provide detailed reporting, set up on-site registration systems, and create mobile applications to enhance the event experience. The ability to plan, organize, execute, and analyze the results of event projects is crucial, as is the capacity to work collaboratively with both internal and external customers to identify and understand their event goals and requirements. The Event Technology Marketing Manager will create individual project plans for each event, identifying key deliverables and milestones, and will drive the execution of the event to meet those milestones. This includes negotiating event contracts, managing budgets, and ensuring that all legal approvals are obtained. On-site management of events is also a critical responsibility, where the manager will provide direction to extended internal and external teams, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly. In addition to these responsibilities, the manager will be expected to communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage project budgets, and report on the outcomes of events to inform future planning and execution. This role requires a thorough understanding of industry practices and the ability to develop solutions for a variety of situations, working independently while exercising judgment and discretion.
