About the position

The Events Marketing Manager at TechCrunch is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing initiatives that enhance awareness, drive revenue, and support sales for TechCrunch events. This role is pivotal in growing event attendance and engagement through strategic marketing efforts, collaboration with various teams, and data-driven decision-making. The position requires a passion for startups and technology innovation, as well as the ability to analyze performance metrics to refine marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated marketing initiatives to build awareness and drive revenue for TechCrunch events.
  • Execute marketing efforts to grow event attendance, iterating based on performance.
  • Collaborate with editorial, design, and audience development teams to create compelling pitches for potential attendees.
  • Analyze campaign performance and recommend actions to enhance awareness and ticket sales.
  • Build and execute plans to reach new audiences for TechCrunch's StrictlyVC franchise.
  • Develop content and funnels to promote TechCrunch events and drive attendance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of marketing experience primarily in B2C marketing for event products or similar consumer products.
  • Experience within or working with technology companies and startups is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business, or relevant experience.
  • General knowledge of marketing approaches to drive customer behaviors across various channels.
  • Proven track record of driving event attendance growth through data-driven campaigns.
  • Strong attention to detail for managing multiple marketing channels for various events.
  • Ability to deliver candid feedback related to driving ticket sales and audience loyalty.
  • Experience with executing campaigns on CRM systems like Hubspot.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong writing skills to craft promotional copy and retool existing content.
  • Ability to provide feedback on creative assets, including video, audio, and graphics.
