About the position

The Events Marketing Manager at Acceleration Academies is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing marketing initiatives for various events aimed at promoting the organization. This role involves coordinating logistics for events such as graduation ceremonies, recruitment events, and conferences, ensuring that each event is executed seamlessly and effectively marketed to the target audience. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail to enhance the overall event experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain event dates, timelines, budgets, and checklists for seamless execution.
  • Liaise with academy directors, school districts, and external stakeholders to coordinate logistics and obtain required materials and services.
  • Oversee event setup, including invitations, programs, signage, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Plan and execute corporate events, including conferences and product launches.
  • Order marketing and promotional supplies for new academy implementations.
  • Plan and execute online events such as Zoom celebrations.
  • Ensure expenses stay within budget.
  • Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors for event services.
  • Create invitations and manage event registrations/RSVPs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to attendees and address any issues promptly.
  • Create promotional materials to effectively promote events.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to utilize various communication channels for event promotion.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and gather feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in event planning and management.
  • Experience creating digital and printed material in Canva.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).
  • Experience with event/project management software such as monday.com.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with virtual events (e.g., via Zoom).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
