About the position

The Events Sales Manager at Swift & Sons Steakhouse will oversee and execute all private dining and event operations, serving as the primary liaison between clients and the restaurant staff. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless event experiences and achieving sales goals, requiring a motivated and service-oriented professional with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Actively market and sell private event spaces to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Manage client inquiries, conduct site visits, create proposals and BEOs, and negotiate contracts, ensuring that each event is personalized to meet the client's vision and expectations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, offering high-touch service throughout the planning and event execution stages.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen, front-of-house staff, and Event Sales Coordinator to ensure every detail is executed to the highest standard.
  • Serve as the point of contact between clients and the kitchen and front-of-house teams, communicating specific event needs and expectations clearly and effectively.
  • Oversee events, ensuring smooth operations and a memorable guest experience.
  • Manage and mentor the Event Sales Coordinator, guiding them in day-to-day responsibilities, client interactions, and logistical planning.
  • Oversee all aspects of event planning, from initial client interaction through post-event follow-up.
  • Ensure all event details align with Swift & Sons' high standards, coordinating timelines, menus, and setup to meet client expectations and brand guidelines.
  • Track sales, analyzing performance and reporting on key metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities and generate sales leads.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, or a similar role, preferably within upscale restaurants or event venues.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed for on-site event management.
  • Knowledge of the event platform, Tripleseat, and/or OpenTable is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
