About the position

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant in our Hughes Network Systems division. This role will be responsible for supporting several business groups and coordination of office operations, procedures, and resources to facilitate organization effectiveness and efficiency, as well as perform project coordination and administrative duties. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain calendars and independently schedule, oversee, and coordinate meetings for senior team members.
  • Schedule and manage senior executive travel (domestic and international) and expense reporting.
  • Screen incoming calls/correspondence and respond independently when possible.
  • Prepare records such as agendas, notices, minutes, and resolutions for corporate meetings.
  • Maintain security, integrity, and confidentiality of business and employee information.
  • Organize meetings and conferences with customers and vendors using tools available to you.
  • Arrange catering, coordinate facilities, and send invitations to ensure successful implementation of the meetings.
  • Manage the entry of purchase requisitions and reconcile department purchasing card for department and project expenses.
  • Assist and monitor the onboarding of employees within the department.
  • Coordinate with other assistants within the division and other business units.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of related experience supporting senior-level executives in a professional team environment where collaboration, integrity, and adaptability are key.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP Concur and Outlook

  • Focused with a strong attention to detail and able to ensure a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong Self Starter attitude with the ability to manage day-to-day activities and responsibilities independently without direct management, oversight, and guidance.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Suite, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
  • Organized problem solver with sound judgment and decision-making experience.
  • Customer service oriented with ability to be self-directed and take initiative.
