About The Position

The Global Executive Compensation Design Specialist at Newmont supports the Director of Executive Compensation Design within the Global Total Rewards team. This role focuses on providing analytical and consulting support for the design and implementation of executive compensation plans, ensuring alignment with the company's global compensation strategy while maintaining internal equity and external competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Finance, or Legal.
  • Minimum of three years of corporate experience in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Finance, Legal, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, Master's in Human Resources, Finance, or related field) are a plus.
  • Preferred five or more years of experience in analyzing, implementing, and administering initiatives and business processes within a relevant discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards related to compensation, such as SOX or Dodd-Frank.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in business, financial, and statistical analyses.
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts, including probability and statistical inference.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., JMP, SPSS), data reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and data automation platforms (e.g., Power Apps) is a plus.
  • Preferred experience and understanding of total rewards philosophies and systems.
  • Industry experience in mining, energy, or construction is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of materials for the Leadership Development and Compensation Committee (LDCC) of the Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Assist in the annual preparation of compensation data, tables, and narratives for the Compensation Discussion and Analysis (CDA) section of the Proxy Statement.
  • Coordinate and monitor share-pool key performance indicators, including metrics such as dilution and burn rate.
  • Assist in crafting and updating executive compensation policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and support the annual development of executive annual bonus plan (i.e., STIP) and long-term incentive plan (LTIP) targets and payout calculations.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of executive compensation trends and market competitiveness to inform strategy and maintain alignment with global objectives.
  • Collaborate with corporate reporting, financial reporting, and legal teams to ensure accurate compliance with internal controls (e.g., SOX) and external regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to global compensation design and strategy initiatives, including job architecture, survey benchmarking and market analysis, and global salary structure design and application.
