Responsible for accounting, budget management, fiscal operations, facilities, human resources, and information technology. Salary Range $175,000-$185,000 per year; DOE Close Date 02-December-2024 Category 04 Essential Duties Directs the staff and day-to-day operations of ASU Health related to finance, purchasing, human resources, leasing, facilities, and information technology. Works collaboratively with the leadership team to develop, implement, and assess plans for operational infrastructure, systems, and processes and recommends and implements strategies to address issues and increase efficiency and effectiveness. Develops and maintains systems of internal controls to safeguard the financial integrity of ASU Health; monitors operations and ensure compliance with government regulations, higher education, and peer standards. In collaboration with Facilities Development and Management (FDM), leads efforts of the facilities operation to provide adequate facilities and properly control costs to maintain, construct and renovate ASU Health facilities in the best possible manner. Oversees the Accounts Payable function, invoicing, and Accounts Receivables. Oversees purchasing and ensures all ABOR, college, federal, and state policies are maintained. Provides leadership and creativity as it relates to purchasing power, cost expenditures and savings for ASU Health. Oversees the preparation of finance and facilities motions for action by ASU leaders and ensures financial statements and reports, cash management reports and other related reports are shared with the appropriate oversight and governance committees/boards. Collaborates with University administration, certified public accountants, and auditors from federal and state agencies to assure proper accounting policies, procedures, and regulations are followed and presented in the financial statements to the Public, the State Department of Education and to the various grant agencies. Partners with Enterprise Technology in the development, implementation, and assessment of a Technology Infrastructure in support of ASU Health's strategic plan and the allocation of budgetary resources. Oversees fixed asset inventory, including grant-specific inventory, for insurance and record-keeping purposes. Leads, reviews, and coordinates the preparation of administrative reports. Develops, evaluates, and recommends changes in administrative policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment, and eight (8) years of related administrative experience which includes five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Desired Qualifications Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or closely related field. Demonstrated knowledge of financial regulations, non-profit accounting standards (GAAP), and grant management. Experience with financial software and systems, with strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools. Evidence of effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Experience in leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of financial analysis and forecasting. Demonstrated experience/knowledge of healthcare finance, best practices, accounting principles, and processing (e.g., billing, reimbursement, contracting, etc.). Evidence of high level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial management. Experience working in a university-affiliated or public-sector environment. Familiarity with Workday or similar ERP systems. Experience with healthcare start-ups is a strong plus. Evidence of significant experience in adeptly managing a large complex budget with funding from multiple sources pertaining to universities in multi-campus systems; knowledge of legal rules and regulations governing a university CPA designation a plus.
