About the position

The Executive Director of Finance for Acute Divisions and Regional Markets at Cone Health serves as a strategic business partner to top operational leaders, providing essential financial analysis, insights, and support for decision-making. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, overseeing forecasting and planning processes, and ensuring financial stewardship across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the system CFO and C-suite members to achieve positive financial outcomes.
• Perform financial analysis, review business plans, and create pro-forma projections.
• Oversee the forecasting and planning process for acute divisions and regional markets.
• Drive operational and financial performance by identifying improvement opportunities through financial analysis.
• Work collaboratively with finance division leaders to sustain financial viability and create a positive work environment.
• Support new business projects as they arise.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to team members.
• Oversee routine accounting and financial management functions in the accountable divisions.
• Ensure leaders understand how to utilize financial management information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field with strong analytical capabilities.
• Eight years of progressive experience in healthcare finance with management-related duties.
• Strong knowledge and experience with financial planning processes and decision support.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field demonstrating strong analytical capabilities.
• CPA certification.
