About the position

The Executive Director of Finance for Acute Divisions and Regional Markets serves as a strategic business partner to top operational leaders, providing essential financial analysis, insights, and support for strategic decision-making. This role focuses on enterprise goals, project planning, operational initiatives, and financial stewardship, ensuring effective partnerships and communication with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the system CFO and C-suite members to achieve positive financial and business outcomes.
  • Perform financial analysis, review business plans, and create pro-forma projections, leading the team in these efforts.
  • Oversee the forecasting and planning process for acute divisions and regional markets, aligning with enterprise processes.
  • Drive operational and financial performance by identifying improvement opportunities through financial analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with finance division leaders to achieve organizational goals and sustain financial viability.
  • Support new business projects as they arise.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to team members reporting to this role.
  • Oversee routine accounting and financial management functions within the accountable divisions.
  • Ensure leaders understand how to utilize financial management information effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Eight years of progressive experience in healthcare finance with management-related duties.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with financial planning processes and decision support.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field demonstrating strong analytical capabilities.
  • CPA certification.
