About the position

The Exhibitor Sales and Marketing Manager at ASM Global is responsible for marketing, selling, and managing food and beverage services for exhibitors and affiliate clients at the Moscone Center. This role involves direct client interaction to ensure exceptional service throughout the sales cycle, as well as developing innovative catering options and marketing materials to enhance client engagement and revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively market via numerous avenues to gain incremental revenue through telemarketing, e-mail blasts, postcard mailings, and website advertisement.
  • Manage the Savor Moscone website ordering system and database.
  • Transfer client catering specifications into operational format.
  • Encourage and promote on-site ordering of catering services.
  • Devise exciting and creative new exhibitor catering options.
  • Develop a room-service type booth attendant program.
  • Create new marketing materials, catering packet, and booth information flyers.
  • Initial client contact and thank you letters preparation.
  • Prepare menu proposals and work with Catering Sales Managers to develop shows.
  • Handle sales orders, contracts, payments, and event analysis.
  • Continually interact with clients and act as a liaison to booth.
  • Obtain client's signature on delivery receipts and conduct weekly solicitation calls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
