About the position

The Engineering Associate - Water/Wastewater position at McGill Associates involves applying civil and environmental engineering design principles to various public and private water and wastewater projects. The role focuses on treatment facility planning, design, and management, requiring collaboration with clients and site visits to ensure project progress. Responsibilities

• Apply general civil and environmental engineering design principles on water/wastewater projects.
• Conduct basic engineering computations, design, layout, modeling, and CAD.
• Prepare design drawings, plans, specifications, and supporting documents.
• Assist in permit applications, construction schedules, and environmental impact studies.
• Attend client meetings and visit construction sites to monitor project progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Two years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering.
• Relevant internship, co-op, or research experience preferred.
• Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with water distribution lines and booster pump station design.
• Familiarity with asset management planning and permitting processes.
