About The Position

The Exports Coordinator position at Kuehne+Nagel involves managing the export shipping process, ensuring compliance with U.S. Administration Regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate the transportation of shipments. This role requires a blend of warehouse and office work, with a focus on data quality and documentation for hazardous materials and export declarations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in air freight or export shipping.
• Working knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries and major cities.
• Basic knowledge of U.S. Administration Regulations (FAA, FMC, EAR, Hazmat) and other government agency requirements.
• Export and/or hazardous materials experience.
• International shipping experience is a PLUS.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• SAP or warehouse system knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor programs for the transportation of export and hazardous materials.
• Arrange pick-up or inland transportation for items, prepare documentation, trace to final destination, and handle data quality requirements.
• File Shipper's Export Declarations.
• File AES through the ACE system for shipments.
• Create Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD) along with the packing and preparing of hazardous material shipments.
• Work with export commodity control items.
