About The Position

The Affordability Manager at Pratt & Whitney is responsible for leading program cost reduction efforts within the F119 Sustainment Organization. This role focuses on driving accountability and actions through internal and external reviews, organizing cost reduction activities, and generating the necessary value proposition to secure funding for the F119 program. The position requires a strong emphasis on managing affordability metrics and supporting readiness initiatives for future overhaul planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of cross functional teaming experience including external support and problem solving skills, or an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and prior experience with SAP.
  • Prior customer-facing work experience in a technical or business role.
  • Strong communication, influencing, presentation and data management/analysis skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with a history of attaining results through influence and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage affordability metrics such as EOC and CPEFH, overhaul costs, and validate ROI's.
  • Manage new part production cost reduction initiatives to drive part affordability, quality, and cost management.
  • Lead F119 program repair development prioritization from waterline planning through repair industrialization and execution.
  • Support readiness initiatives for future induction overhaul planning such as deep looks and Compass Vector planning committee.
  • Drive efficiencies to reduce costs through innovation and process improvements utilizing CORE principles and methodologies.
