About the position

The Facilities Gas and Chemical Engineer at TSMC Arizona plays a crucial role in supporting semiconductor facility operations by managing and troubleshooting gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems. Responsibilities

  • Sustain engineering support for gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance, ensuring system capacity meets demand.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to facility systems.
  • Provide engineering leadership in support of safety, reliability, quality, environmental, and cost objectives.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to maximize efficiency.
  • Perform systems assessments and implement improvement roadmaps.
  • Manage technical, administrative, financial, and schedule aspects of facilities projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for operation and maintenance activities.
  • Integrate reliability focus and risk analysis into Systems Engineering tasks.
  • Team with other engineering disciplines and suppliers to ensure cost-effective project execution.
  • Conduct engineering analysis, design, and installation oversight of distribution systems.
  • Oversee project commissioning to ensure systems perform as designed.
  • Create and manage project documentation, including installation procedures and checklists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
  • Understanding of chemical engineering principles, including piping, filtration, pumps, valves, flow calculations, and chemical analytical testing.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years' experience in semiconductor Facilities Chemical, Gas or Slurry distribution Systems.
  • Experience in designing, maintaining, or installing distribution piping and gas cabinets for hazardous and high purity chemicals.
