About The Position

The Facilities Technician at Community Howard Regional Health is responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role ensures that all critical life safety and equipment systems are operational and efficient, contributing to the overall care provided by the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of six months experience in electrical, mechanical, or related maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance principles, theories, and operations.
  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including reading and writing skills at a high school graduate level.
  • Ability to work with peers in a team situation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and systems.
  • Operate a broad variety of hospital equipment and systems.
  • Perform construction tasks for furnishings, equipment, and systems.
  • Maintain parts and material inventory to ensure maintenance functions can be completed.
  • Monitor the operation status and condition of hospital equipment and systems.
  • Respond to customer needs concerning hospital systems or operations and communicate with supervisor.
  • Maintain and complete maintenance journals, logs, and time sheets daily.
