About the position

The Facility Maintenance Manager at AMC Theatres is responsible for implementing and overseeing all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures to ensure compliance with AMC standards of cleanliness, safety, and repair. This role involves performing inspections, managing maintenance tasks, and leading a team to maintain a high-quality environment for both associates and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee facility-related maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and timely repairs in various areas including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and food and beverage equipment.
  • Oversee vendor activities and monitor progress to ensure quality of work.
  • Ensure building emergency systems are operational through inspections and vendor maintenance contracts.
  • Inspect and provide direction to janitorial service providers regarding cleaning issues.
  • Report non-repairable facility issues to the General Manager and seek technical support as needed.
  • Develop routine systems for monitoring problem areas in the facility.
  • Work with the General Manager to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for associates and guests.
  • Track theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide training support for the market as directed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiencies in building trades including painting, plumbing, and equipment repair.
  • Six months of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear details regarding building issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

  • Experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Leadership experience in a similar environment.
