About the position

As a Facility Maintenance Manager at AMC, you will implement and oversee all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures to ensure compliance with AMC standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall good repair. Your role will involve performing daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the building to identify necessary repairs and conducting routine maintenance in various areas such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and food and beverage equipment. You will also oversee vendor activities, ensuring that all maintenance and repair needs are scheduled and monitored for quality of work. In addition to hands-on maintenance tasks, you will be responsible for providing constant attention to life safety issues, ensuring that emergency systems are operational through regular inspections and vendor maintenance contracts. You will work closely with the General Manager to support an environment that is clean, safe, and in good repair for both associates and guests. This position requires strong communication skills to effectively report facility issues and collaborate with various stakeholders, including janitorial service providers and corporate partners. Your ability to lead teams and achieve results through effective resource management will be crucial in this role. You will also be expected to develop routine systems for monitoring problem areas and track theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance, repairs, and supplies. Upholding AMC's Business Practice Standards and following all established company policies and procedures will be essential to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and timely repairs in areas such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and food and beverage equipment.
  • Oversee vendor activities, scheduling repair and maintenance needs, and monitoring progress for quality of work.
  • Ensure all life safety issues are addressed and that building emergency systems are operational through inspections and vendor contracts.
  • Inspect and provide direction to janitorial service providers regarding cleaning issues that do not meet AMC standards.
  • Report all facility issues that are not immediately repairable to the theatre General Manager and seek technical support as needed.
  • Ensure consistent maintenance and repair methods for all building components.
  • Develop routine systems for constant monitoring of problem areas.
  • Work with the General Manager to ensure Film Crew procedures support a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.
  • Track theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
  • Follow safe use instructions for all chemicals and cleaning materials.
  • Perform tasks with tools, ladders, and lifts safely and effectively.
  • Provide training support for the market as directed.
  • Maintain regular personal attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiencies in building trades including painting, wallpapering, plumbing, seating, and equipment repair.
  • Demonstrated administrative and follow-up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise details regarding building issues.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite.
  • Six months of supervisory or commensurate leadership experience.
