The position involves managing and supervising repair and maintenance operations to ensure the safe functioning of company properties, which may include stores, offices, and warehouses. The role requires the development of policies and procedures to effectively manage facility operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, as well as company policies. The individual will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating general repairs, space utilization, and remodeling projects. This includes overseeing inspections of facilities to document damage and determine necessary repairs, as well as anticipating and responding to operational issues related to the facilities. In addition to these responsibilities, the position requires investigating complaints and safety violations, resolving problems, and directing the activities of support roles across multiple locations. The manager will maintain records of special permits, inspections, hazards, compliance issues, and maintenance and operating costs, as well as manage documents, contracts, and vendor lists. Preparing and reviewing service contracts and billing is also a key part of the role. The manager will need to maintain ongoing relationships with all departments to stay informed about their service needs and anticipate potential problems. Collaboration with other business unit representatives and peers is essential to support enterprise decisions, goals, and objectives. The nature of the solutions required in this role involves analysis and investigation, with the manager achieving planned results through decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. The position typically requires managing a group or team of professional individual contributors and may involve indirect supervision of support staff. The work environment is primarily indoors, with any unpleasant conditions being infrequent and not objectionable. Overnight travel is expected to be less than 10% of the time.
