About the position

The Facilities Manager will serve as the primary point of contact responsible for overseeing facilities management, working closely with the Regional Manager and the Corporate Real Estate team to deliver high-quality facility management services. This role is crucial in coordinating and managing tenant requirements and ensuring service delivery meets satisfaction standards. The Facilities Manager will play a key role in supporting the Area Manager in implementing both short and long-term projects for the client, ensuring that all operations align with the strategic goals of the organization. In this position, the Facilities Manager will develop and implement innovative programs, processes, and procedures aimed at reducing both short and long-term operating costs while simultaneously increasing productivity. This will involve close collaboration with the Facility Management Lead and the client to ensure that all initiatives are effectively executed. The role also includes overseeing the appropriate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the client, ensuring that all financial and operational metrics are accurately tracked and communicated. Additionally, the Facilities Manager will be responsible for the development and management of capital and expense budgets, working closely with client representatives to ensure that all financial planning aligns with operational needs. The role requires the development of monthly and quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property, ensuring timely and accurate financial oversight. The Facilities Manager will also assist in the development and implementation of the annual management plan for the buildings within the designated area, ensuring that all facilities are managed effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for facilities management.
  • Assist the Regional Manager and Corporate Real Estate team in delivering quality facility management services.
  • Coordinate and manage tenant requirements and service delivery to ensure satisfaction.
  • Support the Area Manager in implementing short and long-term projects for the client.
  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes, and procedures to reduce operating costs and increase productivity.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the client.
  • Manage the development and oversight of capital and expense budgets in collaboration with client representatives.
  • Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the annual management plan for the buildings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years industry experience in a corporate environment, third-party service provider, or as a consultant.
  • Strong organizational and management skills within matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS SharePoint.
  • Computer proficiency in CMMS/Work Order systems.
  • Ability to supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours, including weekends when necessary.
  • Top Secret security clearance required.
  • Experience in critical environments/labs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, accounting, and building systems.
  • Experience overseeing multiple facilities with varied functions.
