The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of the building and its systems. This role involves performing routine building maintenance tasks across various fields, including carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, and plumbing. The Facility Manager will also be responsible for general cleaning and other assigned tasks to ensure the facility operates smoothly and efficiently. In this position, the Facility Manager will troubleshoot minor maintenance issues, perform preventive maintenance duties, and handle routine plumbing and electrical repairs. This includes tasks such as unstopping toilets, fixing leaks, changing light bulbs, and managing the inventory of supplies and materials necessary for maintenance projects. The role also requires assembling and moving furniture, hanging pictures, and ensuring that the facility is clean and well-maintained. The Facility Manager will manage the Facility Technician and oversee all contractors and vendor contracts, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Compliance with all necessary licenses and permits is also a critical aspect of this role. The Facility Manager must be proactive in managing and prioritizing work requests and be prepared to perform other duties as assigned.
