About the position

The Facility Operations Manager (FOM) at Frito-Lay is responsible for overseeing all operations functions at a Distribution Center, focusing on people and team development, site management, and customer service. This role is crucial in driving results and managing change within the supply chain, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, hire, and coordinate training for all warehouse team members.
  • Develop a cohesive and empowered team of 30 - 40 employees with technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage Picker performance through various systems and provide real-time feedback.
  • Conduct pre-shift and mid-shift meetings to motivate the team.
  • Manage day-to-day people issues such as crewing and safety.
  • Ensure site regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, FDA, and EPA.
  • Manage warehouse space for inventory and safety compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison with manufacturing and general suppliers.
  • Execute product planning and ordering to ensure product availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0-8 years' experience utilizing a team-based approach to decision making
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills
  • People and leadership skills with a track record of achieving positive business results.
