About the position

Reed Charters LLC is actively seeking a Project Manager (PM) with experience in facility protection programs for a contingent opportunity supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) customer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting a Program Management Office that is responsible for the development of a Common Operating Picture (COP). This capability provides consistent, standardized, and geospatially referenced information to an installation commander, tenant organizations, and other key supporting organizations. The common operating picture is essential for supporting an installation's Emergency Operations Center functions and response actions, aiding the installation commander and incident commander, and facilitating resource management activities during response and recovery operations. The Installation Protection (IP) programs require ongoing subject matter expertise to support all planning, execution, implementation, and training efforts related to the common operating picture. As the Project Manager, you will be located in the Washington DC Metro Area, with potential client site support required. Your responsibilities will include providing COP Subject Matter Expertise and strategic planning support, acting as the primary interface between the customer and the COP PM 24x7/365 Help Desk, and offering training support for both basic and advanced COP training as needed. You will also be responsible for configuration support for the client's HQ, Regional Commands, and installations, interfacing with COP developers on technical needs, and providing recurring status reports. This position requires a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide COP Subject Matter Expertise and strategic planning support related to overall COP efforts approved by the customer.
  • Act as the primary interface between the customer and the COP PM 24x7/365 Help Desk, providing support for COP Tier I and Tier II solutions.
  • Provide secondary training support for on-site and online COP basic and advanced training as needed/requested.
  • Support the COP PM by providing secondary configuration support for the client's HQ, Regional Commands, and installations.
  • Interface with COP developers on all technical needs for the client's HQ, Regional Commands, and installations.
  • Interface with the COP PM for all strategic direction and project-management needs for the client's HQ, Regional Commands, and installations.
  • Provide recurring status reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree and 4 to 10 years of experience in leading major facility protection programs.
  • Proficient with software applications hosted in multiple program environments, including Windows, Oracle, and Citrix, as well as Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in team environments.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
