About the position

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking a Facility Services Manager for its Jacksonville facilities. This role is crucial for the general supervision of the Maintenance, Electrical, and Engineering staff, who are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the mechanical and electrical systems across all ASM Global Jacksonville facilities. The Facility Services Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the facilities comply with all applicable safety and building codes, while also implementing programs through subordinate staff to enhance labor efficiency, conserve utilities, adhere to budgets, and maintain high-quality service standards. This position is hands-on, requiring active involvement in daily operations and management of the facility's services. The Facility Services Manager will assist with fire and life safety compliance, as well as ADA compliance, working closely with Facility, Production, and Technology Managers to ensure that the day-to-day needs of the facility are met. This includes overseeing the scheduling and performance of the facility housekeeping subcontractor, implementing and training staff on operating procedures, emergency plans, and safety/risk management policies that align with ASM Corporate standards. The Manager will also be responsible for reviewing contracts, communicating with tenants, and collaborating with subcontractors to address special requirements. Regular inspections of conversions, construction, and installation progress will be necessary to ensure compliance with established specifications. In addition to these responsibilities, the Facility Services Manager will manage changeover costs for event billing and labor analysis, schedule appropriate operations and housekeeping staff, and monitor all clock-ins/outs and assigned breaks. The role includes preparing and reviewing documentation for the timekeeping system, ensuring timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate stock of supplies, and facilitating the general condition of the facility. Frequent facility inspections will be conducted to identify deficiencies, and necessary action plans for remediation will be supervised. The Manager will also utilize CMMS programs for comprehensive preventative maintenance of facility assets and assist in the preparation of yearly operational and capital budgets. Participation in staff meetings and maintaining harmonious relationships with staff and other departments is essential, along with assisting with special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years in a supervisory role in management and operations of industrial or commercial facilities.
  • Experience in public assembly, hotel, or commercial facility operations preferred.
  • Formal education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Construction desired.
  • CFM or FMP certification through IFMA preferred.
  • FL Class E Driver's License required and must be maintained.
  • Ability to operate vehicles with gross vehicle weight ratings of 26,000 pounds or more.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for event seating diagrams and projects preferred.
  • Basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, email, CMMS, and BAS programs.
