As a Facility Warehouse Manager, you will be accountable for planning, prioritizing, and managing all freight distribution operations and warehouse usage. This includes establishing business controls focused on quality management processes and cost control methodologies, ensuring compliance with ISO guidelines, LEAN Principles, and applicable regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for the development and administration of the employee environmental, health, and safety program in the facility to ensure that the dock and material handling equipment comply with applicable state OSHA laws and federal standards and regulations, providing a safe and healthy environment for employees and the public. You will model and act in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. In this role, you will ensure that freight is being moved in a safe and timely manner utilizing appropriate equipment and tools. You will maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment by inspecting and scheduling all warehouse equipment. You will effectively leverage and deploy support resources to pursue continuous improvement opportunities and support new business growth and development within the facility. You will review pending jobs or trends, plan for reorganization of warehouse space, and needed changes in levels of supplies, equipment, or staffing. Additionally, you will inspect and review staff scheduling for peaks and valleys of workload to assure maximum productivity with minimal or no overtime usage. You will ensure that the safety programs for all departments throughout the facility are adhered to, including employee forklift certifications, employee safety orientations, and employee Hazmat/Dangerous Goods certifications. Conducting safety inspections to ensure conformance with safety and environmental health regulations will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Minimum five years related experience.
  • Minimum three years supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
