About the position

The Factory Human Resource Business Partner at Hitachi Energy is a senior-level role responsible for collaborating with leadership to standardize HR processes and drive key initiatives within the organization. This position focuses on developing HR strategies, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with laws while supporting the operational needs of the North American Transformers business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and participate in the operational rhythm of the business, providing input on strategic vision and project management.
  • Counsel and support operations leaders on company culture and HR-related issues.
  • Drive a culture of engagement, productivity, and flexibility within the organization.
  • Develop proactive employee communication initiatives to keep employees informed.
  • Implement employee engagement surveys to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
  • Align individual, team, and leadership goals with organizational needs to foster high performance.
  • Plan and direct training initiatives to develop critical skills for line managers.
  • Lead change management initiatives and manage cultural transformation processes.
  • Drive employee development and administer performance assessments and compensation decisions.
  • Monitor production employee turnover data and implement retention strategies.
  • Provide strategic employee relations counsel and manage performance issues.

Requirements

  • Experience in HR strategy development and deployment.
  • Strong project management skills.

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Experience in organizational development and change management.
