About the position
The University of Rochester's Addiction Psychiatry Division is seeking a full-time faculty psychologist at the rank of Associate Professor. This role focuses on training and education of psychological interns and postdoctoral fellows in addiction psychiatry, implementing translational research, and overseeing clinical operations at various addiction sites. The successful candidate will integrate evidence-based digital therapies into clinical services and address complex issues related to addiction and comorbid psychopathology, particularly in underserved populations.
Responsibilities
- Train and educate psychological interns and postdoctoral fellows in addiction psychiatry.
- Implement translational research within clinical services in Addiction Psychiatry.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of trainees at Strong Recovery Clinical Site and other addiction clinical sites.
- Manage psychological testing operations within Addiction Psychiatry.
- Integrate evidence-based digital therapies and assessments into clinical services.
- Collaborate with research investigators to enhance training and education activities in addiction psychiatry.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in psychology, psychiatry, or a health-related profession with experience in addiction psychiatry.
- Track record of training grant research funding and academic success.
- Experience conducting clinical research with digital therapies related to addiction and comorbid psychopathology.
