About The Position
The Family Planning Clinician is part of the staff team that provides reproductive health care services at the health center of assignment in accordance with Planned Parenthood of Illinois’ policies, protocols, and procedures in the PPIL Manual of Standards and Guidelines. This role involves a market and customer-oriented approach to health care delivery, providing well-person care to patients with contraceptive needs, and assessing their physical and psychosocial status. The clinician may provide various gynecological services and is responsible for follow-up on medical problems and abnormal lab tests as per PPIL protocol. Additionally, the clinician will conduct contraceptive education, perform laboratory screenings, pelvic examinations, and make appropriate referrals. The position requires participation in achieving health center goals, compliance with quality assurance guidelines, and involvement in community education and staff training.
