About the position
The Family Services Worker at Professional Services Group is responsible for providing support to youth and families who have been reunified after out-of-home placements. This role involves addressing various family concerns, including safety planning, parenting strategies, and assistance with household management, education, and mental health resources. The position is ideal for both experienced professionals and recent graduates eager to make a positive impact in the community.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources.
- Analyze client histories and capabilities to determine services required to control safety threats.
- Provide face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plans, and to provide crisis response to de-escalate, support, and educate.
- Assess families and refer to any needed community resources.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
