About The Position

CHS, Inc is seeking a dedicated Feed Mill Operator to join our Animal Nutrition team in Norfolk, NE. This role is essential in formulating high-quality ingredients to enhance animal health. The position involves a variety of operational tasks, including bagging, mixing, pelleting, and managing loading functions, with flexible shift options available to accommodate different lifestyles.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations.
• Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
• High School diploma or GED.
• CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement.
• Mill or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently under general supervision.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled and comply with company policy and government regulations.
• Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling and attaching/detaching hoses.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks using machinery/equipment.
• Control and monitor all load out functions.
• Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems.
• Conduct and record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
• Inspect equipment for leaks and process issues.
• Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
• Deliver products to customer sites.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas through regular housekeeping duties.
• Report customer complaints and safety concerns to supervisor.
• Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth facility operations.
