About The Position

CHS Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver to join their team in Pierre, SD. This role involves hauling feed, grain, and agronomy products to local customers, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The position operates Monday through Friday during the day, allowing drivers to be home daily, with opportunities for overtime throughout the year.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• High School diploma or GED
• Maintain a CDL and DOT medical card
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to work additional hours and be available for overnight stays and occasional weekends.

• Agriculture background
• Customer service experience
• Bulk liquid, pressure trailer, or forklift experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely pick up/deliveries to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Assist with loading or unloading as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) and work environment.
• Complete and document daily maintenance inspections and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
• Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and regulations.
• Report all incidents, accidents, and traffic violations to the supervisor.
• Enroll in and complete mandatory drug and alcohol testing programs.
• Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed.
