About the position

The Field Financial Analyst - Airline Catering at LSG Sky Chefs plays a crucial role in assisting the Finance Director with the financial operations of the company. This position involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, conducting audits, and providing insights that drive business decisions. The analyst will focus on optimizing profitability through detailed financial analyses and effective cost management.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and analyzing monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) Statements and customer profitability reports.
• Monitoring daily performance and analyzing operating results including Revenue, Labor Cost, and Material Cost.
• Making insightful recommendations to optimize facility profitability.
• Preparing ad-hoc financial analyses to identify potential cost savings in manufacturing.
• Assisting in the preparation of accurate financial forecasts and budgets.
• Participating in the month-end close accounting processes.
• Developing and implementing effective controls for accurate revenue and cost accounting.
• Participating in the monthly inventory process and performing post-inventory food cost analyses.
• Collaborating with the materials manager and supply chain optimization team to identify material cost savings and ensure data quality in SAP MM.
• Identifying cost and revenue opportunities to support the company's financial goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of finance experience, with at least 1 year in cost accounting/controlling in an assembly/production process environment.
• Strong working knowledge of accrual accounting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAP Materials Management (MM) system.
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
• Very high attention to detail.
