This position is classified as a Road Warrior role, requiring significant travel, approximately 75% to 90%. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical aptitude, outstanding customer service skills, and firsthand knowledge of hand and power tools, multi-meters, scopes, and radiation measuring equipment. The responsibilities of this role include the installation of Digital Radiographic Systems at customer facilities, which involves uncrating, transporting equipment, mechanical assembly, and ensuring proper electrical and internet connectivity. The candidate will also be responsible for the calibration and testing of installed systems, completing necessary reporting for radiation-producing equipment, and maintaining adherence to quality guidelines and safety requirements. In addition to technical skills, the role requires effective communication and problem-solving abilities to address customer issues professionally. The candidate will work closely with Sales and Service support teams to develop solutions for installation and field service challenges, serving as an on-site liaison between the customer and the company when necessary. This position demands a proactive approach to customer service and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Install Digital Radiographic Systems at customer facilities, requiring regular travel.
  • Uncrate, remove packing materials, transport equipment, and perform mechanical assembly.
  • Install electrical power, computer connections, and internet connectivity using provided documentation and support from the corporate technical team.
  • Calibrate and test installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Complete all appropriate Federal, State, and Local radiation producing equipment installation reporting (FDA2579 forms) and submit forms to agencies and Technical Support group.
  • Adhere to established quality guidelines, safety requirements, and good housekeeping skills in and around the customer facility.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues in a professional manner, maintaining ownership of the initial problem.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Service support teams to formulate solutions for installation and field service issues.
  • Serve as an on-site liaison between the customer and the company when necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience in Veterinary Digital Radiographic equipment installation and repair, preferably with Sound, Sedecal, Innovet IDEXX, Vet Ray, or general X-Ray systems.
  • Knowledge of test equipment associated with the installation and calibration of Digital X-Ray systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal remote guidance after training.
  • Ability to assemble, modify, or retrofit mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to use associated test equipment, hand and power tools, and mechanical devices.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, SalesForce CRM, internet, and email software.
  • Basic knowledge of network and wireless routing is a plus.
