As a dedicated Field Manager for the Special Investigations Unit for Property & Casualty, you will be responsible for the operational management of Claims fraud investigative teams. This role involves directing staff in the investigation of cases involving questionable, suspect, or fraudulent activity. You will ensure compliance with policies and procedures that contribute to fraud control objectives, as well as adherence to state insurance fraud-related laws and regulations. This is a field-based role in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, where you will oversee teams in North Carolina and South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for providing insurance fraud detection and investigation services aimed at reducing fraud-related claim payments and costs while avoiding unwarranted risk. You will ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to claims handling and unfair claims practices and reporting statutes. Your participation in the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures for fraud control and investigative practices will be crucial. You will also perform various leadership and management tasks, including providing coaching, evaluating performance, managing time off, and conducting quarterly check-ins and ride-alongs. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, authorizing, and implementing actions and decisions to carry out proactive claims projects and investigations. You will review and evaluate investigation recommendations from investigators to ensure that results and case documentation support conclusions. Additionally, you will ensure that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
