About the position

This position is responsible for coordinating all zone level marketing campaigns, agent events, internal & external meetings, tradeshows, and budget oversight. Reinforces best practice efforts in market incentives and Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives. This role will collaborate with numerous internal partners (Marketing, Events team, L&D, Best Practices, Incentives, Project Managers) and external parties (local vendors, IAs, IA networks & trade groups). The Independent Agents (IA) relaunch marketing and events will be a particular area of focus and a key accountability for this role. Performs various other marketing and support functions when not traveling including general promotional development, reviewing surveys, collateral production and tracking, and other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the zone’s marketing and events calendar.
  • Travels to various locations throughout the zone to organize events.
  • Develops individual marketing activities to support agency events.
  • Partners cross-functionally to plan and execute zone specific initiatives.
  • Conducts in-depth research and analysis of industry trends, competitor strategies, and target audience demographics.
  • Provides actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership to refine marketing strategies.
  • Provides annual profile of demographics for each region.
  • Creates reporting variances on a monthly basis.
  • Distributes reports for review to internal partners.
  • Collaborates with management to set priorities and establish goals for each event.
  • Tracks results of each event and analyzes the success/shortfall of each.
  • Tracks marketing collateral inventory for IA marketing.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors to solicit participation in marketing activities.
  • Promotes the participation of both staff and contributions from outside sources.
  • Makes routine phone calls to internal and external partners to establish event schedules.
  • Accountable for and oversees budget for each activity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in agency sales, direct marketing, market research, corporate communications, or advertising required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a marketing, business or market research field.
