Elekta is seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer who will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals by ensuring the functionality and reliability of our state-of-the-art medical equipment. This position is vital in our mission to improve and save lives, particularly for those dealing with cancer. The Associate Field Service Engineer will be responsible for performing mechanical and electronic repairs on medical devices, including high-energy ionizing radiation equipment, while maintaining the highest level of professional representation between the customer and the company. The role requires a customer-focused individual who can troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently, ensuring that all administrative requirements are met in a timely manner. In this position, the engineer will perform low-risk troubleshooting and repairs on designated modalities, demonstrating a success rate in diagnosing problems that aligns with their training and experience. The engineer will also be responsible for training and performing supervised calibrations and preventative maintenance on assigned modalities. Safety is paramount, as the engineer will work in confined areas with high current and high voltages, requiring critical depth perception and the ability to gauge distances accurately. The role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, as well as submitting timely service reports and managing parts inventory according to company objectives.
