About the position
The Field Service Engineer at Radiometer is responsible for supporting customer needs related to diagnostic equipment, which directly impacts patient health and well-being. This remote position involves traveling within the San Diego, CA area and is part of the Service Organization. The role includes troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair of Radiometer equipment, contributing to the company's vision of improving global healthcare with reliable and efficient patient diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, calibrate, clean, and test instruments using logical troubleshooting procedures in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Review solutions with customers; discuss needs and ensure a safe operation situation.
- Maintain a field parts inventory, testing devices, and tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at the customer site and in the company vehicle.
Requirements
- One year of Field Service Engineer or related experience, preferably in the medical field.
- AS - Technical Associates Degree or Electronic Technology Diploma and/or Military experience.
- Basic troubleshooting experience in electromechanical, networking, or IT system upgrades.
Nice-to-haves
- Proficiency with analyzer network/connectivity setup and support directly to Laboratory Information System/Health Care Information systems.
- Preferred Comp TI A+ certification.
