The engineer will also be involved in providing budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments, ensuring that projects are completed within the allocated resources. Clear communication, both written and oral, is essential for interacting with other company personnel and customers, as well as for participating in the preparation of less complex proposals. Additionally, the Field Service Engineer may provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel, contributing to a collaborative work environment. Mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers is also a key aspect of this role, as it helps to foster professional development within the team. The engineer will be expected to support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of Leonardo DRS while attending relevant engineering, customer, or business meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Support moderately complex Field Service activities in operating environments at depots, training sites, and customer field operations with training, operation or repair.
  • Provide technical skills in area of proficiency and demonstrate ability to troubleshoot technical issues at all types of military and commercial field assignments.
  • Determine solutions in resolving a wide variety of technical problems.
  • Interface directly with customer personnel to address technical support issues.
  • Work at remote locations under general supervision of others.
  • Provide regular reporting of progress and status.
  • Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Participate in preparation of less complex proposals.
  • May provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers.

Requirements
