About the position

Insight Global is seeking dedicated Field Service Technicians to join a large machinery manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, installation, and repair of core machinery, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service. The position requires extensive travel throughout the week, which may include overnight stays, as you will be servicing assigned territories. While our team strives to have each technician return home each night, the nature of the job necessitates a willingness to travel to meet client needs. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting directly with clients to address their concerns and provide solutions. This role is pivotal in maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the operational efficiency of the machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, installation, and repair of core machinery for clients.
• Travel extensively to assigned territories to service customers.
• Interact with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems as needed.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively in the maintenance of heavy machinery.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working as a mechanic or performing mechanical work on heavy machinery.
• Strong client/customer service orientation, with experience working directly with external clients.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
• Electrical background with heavy machinery is preferred.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in heavy machinery is essential.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to travel within the state and to surrounding states, with travel expected to be around 35% of the role.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with a volt meter.
