About the position

As a Field Service Representative at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions, you will play a crucial role in providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for various customers across different industries. This position is essential for ensuring the effective functioning of water treatment technologies, including media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF). You will be responsible for conducting maintenance and calibration activities, consulting with customer management and operation teams, and ensuring contract compliance regarding volume and quality specifications. Your mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills will be vital in optimizing equipment performance and addressing any issues that arise in the field. In this role, you will carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation. You will also be tasked with creating and maintaining site paperwork, providing customers with detailed technical summaries of the work performed, and maintaining an inventory of spare parts and chemicals. Monitoring and maintaining chemical injection systems and performing analytical testing, including turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific testing requirements, will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will review customer plant installations against WTS reference drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications. This position requires a high degree of independence and the ability to work remotely while collaborating with project teams. You will also provide informal training to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of their systems, ensuring they are equipped to manage their water treatment processes effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and calibration activities on water treatment systems.

  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and ensure adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts.
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems for optimal performance.
  • Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific tests.
  • Review customer plant installations against WTS reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, etc.).
  • Provide informal training to customers on the operation and maintenance of their systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification or international equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation.
