About the position
The Field Service Technician at Alfa Laval Inc. is responsible for executing nationwide field service for heat exchangers, diagnosing and repairing issues, and providing solutions to customers across the U.S. This role involves extensive travel, hands-on technical work, and customer interaction to ensure optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Execute nationwide field service for Alfa Laval Heat Exchangers and other brand heat exchangers.
- Diagnose, solve, repair, and report solutions to customer problems.
- Modify heat exchangers and install new plate packs.
- Recondition and repair gasket plate heat exchangers to prolong equipment lifetime.
- Change components, upgrade equipment, and perform safety checks and combustion adjustments.
- Execute performance audits and advise customers on product usage.
- Prepare expense reports and written service reports for each job.
Requirements
- 5 years of related field service experience in repairing and reconditioning gasketed plate heat exchangers and gasket assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
