About the position
The Field Supervisor for Downtown Services in Raleigh is responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of public spaces in Downtown Raleigh. This role requires a balance of independent work and teamwork, with a strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency. The supervisor will manage staff, ensure quality control of services, and utilize data to report on team performance and service impact.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor staff, conducting performance evaluations and managing HR functions.
- Ensure quality control of daily sidewalk coverage and manage biohazard response.
- Oversee Downtown Services' programs including power-washing and leaf collection.
- Conduct pre- and post-walkthroughs for special events and represent the team in planning meetings.
- Collect data, track inventory, and manage customer concerns in assigned routes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and four years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Experience with Cityworks and ArcGIS.
Nice-to-haves
- Valid North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Supervisory experience in an operational role.
